After upgrade to Mountain Lion GM, the first issue I’m getting is the waking from hibernate issue. My MBP 2011 will just keep beeping when start from previous hibernate, the only thing can do seem is to restart.
After some research, there is the method to solve it.
First reset the power management into normal. I’m not sure why my hibernate mode is 5, it suppose to be 0, 1, 3 or 25. So just in the terminal type ‘$pmset -g’ and you will get your Mac Active Profiles.
After some tweaking, below my final setting. To make changes just type ‘$sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 1’.
Active Profiles: Battery Power -1 AC Power -1* Currently in use: standbydelay 30 standby 1 womp 0 halfdim 1 hibernatefile /var/vm/sleepimage sms 1 networkoversleep 0 disksleep 10 sleep 0 hibernatemode 1 ttyskeepawake 1 displaysleep 5 acwake 0 lidwake 1
Normally, how OS works is Sleep -> Standby (delay)-> Hibernate. So I skipped Sleep mode and directly get into Hibernate mode.
