How to Mount EBS Volume to Linux

First, use $sudo su to get the root rights. This help you to prevent any permission error.

If this is a brand new volume then you will want to format it, else skip below step.

$mkfs -t ext3 /dev/sdf

After that, adding the mount to /etc/fstab

$echo "/dev/sdf  /ebs ext3     noatime  0 0" >> /etc/fstab
$mkdir /ebs
$mount /ebs

you should now see a new /ebs file system mounted on the EBS volume
